Join TexasT's and the Queen as they embark on an offbeat adventure to take Jamaica by storm.

We were looking for a different type of vacation. And boy did we get it! We were to stay at a notorious all inclusive resort on the west coast of Jamaica. For those that do not know, All Inclusive means everything (drinks, meals, watersports, etc.)you do at the resort is covered. These are (usually) large, gated resorts where some claim you do not get the true flavor of the country in which you are visiting.

The resort sits a little north of Negril's famous 7 mile beach! Negril was discovered by westerners (mostly Hippies) in the 1960's and early 70's and is still pretty much a haven for the wacky and off beat! Back then if you wanted to get to Negril it was quite a trek. The roads were practically non-existent and there was no airport.

All that has changed now of course. And it is not so much of a trek to get there. Construction of the highway into a modern 4 lane roadway was at last report completed and there is a small, daylight only airfield, the Negril Aerodrome.
